Hybrid Event
1-2 September, 2022
On behalf of the board members and the organizing committee, we would like to welcome you to join us at our 1st meeting in the Saudi Society of Oncology Research (DAEM), which will be held in Sheraton’s Hotel in Dammam, on September 1st, 2022.
Tremendous efforts have been made in the field of cancer research that impressively transformed the current therapeutic landscape of managing cancer. This is evidence of improved survival rates across different cancer subtypes. These phenomenal achievements wouldn’t have been possible without the collaborative inputs of researchers at the bed and bench sides, and this is where DAEM comes into play and can contribute.
This meeting will be the 1st meeting for the society to bring all to the table. It consists of 3 different sessions along with a poster session and a series of workshops that have been carefully selected to serve the needs of the community in the kingdom.
We are beyond grateful to all organizing members, sponsors, our guest speakers, and all attendees for being the basis of the meeting’s success.
Dr. Abdulaziz Almotlak, MS, PhD
Saudi Society for Oncology Research president
Dear colleagues
I am honored and delighted to welcome you all to the 1 st meeting of the Saudi Society for oncology
Research SSOR-2022 that going to be held during September 1-2 at Dammam, Saudi Arabia
I am highly optimistic that the scientific program of the SSOR-2022 will pave the way to gather
scientific visionaries through the inspiring and scientific talks and presentations, and will also put
forward many thought-provoking strategies for future lines of action in the area of oncology research.
This event will discuss the progress and challenges of cancer research in Saudi Arabia in the
first day. However, the workshop on the second day will cover very specialized and advanced topics
in order to improve the research methodology in the area of cancer research.
I sincerely hope that this conference will deliberate on various issues that need to be addressed in
oncology research and come up with recommendations that will lead to sustainably increasing the
oncology research studies without any obstacles.
I am looking forward to meeting all of you at SSOR-2022 to make our initiatives of disseminating
knowledge in cancer research achieves a grand success.
